The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, is an indispensable accessory for preparing matcha tea.
Before whisking the matcha, the bristles of the matcha whisk should be briefly soaked in warm water; this increases its lifespan.
When whisking, do not drag the whisk across the bottom of the bowl, as parts of the delicate bristles could break off.
It has 80 bristles and allows you to whip the matcha tea (green tea) into a firm and attractive foam.
After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the enclosed broom holder with the bristles facing down.
The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and retain their shape for longer.
Using the traditional bamboo spoon (Chashaku), the matcha powder is added to the bowl in the optimal dosage (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).
