Our organic matcha “Ichibana” (Japanese: (First harvest ) is a particularly high-quality ceremonial grade matcha from the first picking of the youngest tea leaves .

This early harvest after winter ensures an exceptionally high content of L-Theanine – up to three times higher than in later harvests.

L-theanine not only gives Ichibancha a natural sweetness , but is also known for its Relaxing, anxiety-relieving, and antispasmodic properties . The long shading of the tea plants gives our matcha a intense, deep green powder and a particularly high proportion of valuable secondary plant compounds .
